Togthr for Family · The thread between three generations

Togthr for Family: a small private space for the people who raised you and the people you are raising. Long memories, gentle daily rituals, and a tiny pet that grows across generations.

Togthr for Family is for the part of life that no productivity app really gets: the relationship between a parent and a child, between siblings who no longer live in the same city, between an adult child and a parent who is getting older. These relationships are long, slow, and not built around any one event. They are built out of small repeated moments: a weekly call, a photo of lunch, a "did you eat" text, a voice note from a grandchild. Togthr for Family is a small private space for those moments — not a family group chat, not a photo album, but a slow, multi-generational space that lets you keep the thread going without it becoming a project.

A space that does not require a tech native

Most apps assume everyone in the family is a power user. Togthr for Family is built for the oldest person in the group and the youngest person in the group at the same time. The interface is large, the language is plain, and the only action that matters is "still here." A 78-year-old grandparent in another country can use it without learning anything new. A 10-year-old grandchild can use it because the pet is fun. Everyone else just adds a photo or a sentence when they remember.

For the parent who is getting older

When a parent starts to age, the small check-ins become more important than the big conversations. Togthr for Family does not pretend to be medical or therapeutic — it is just a small daily "still here" that the parent can do, and a small daily "still here" that the adult child can do back. The pet grows on both screens, and the calendar of dots becomes a quiet visible record of who called, who visited, and who remembered. It is not a substitute for care, but it is a gentle structure around the in-between days.

For the long-distance sibling

Siblings who grew up in the same house are now scattered across cities, time zones, and life stages. The relationship is important, but it has no obvious structure. Togthr for Family gives the sibling relationship a place to live: a shared photo stream, a slow journal of "what I cooked this week," a tiny pet that grows on both your screens, and a time capsule you can lock until the next big family milestone — a parent's anniversary, a niece's graduation, a sibling's wedding. The space is private to the sibling pair, even if it lives inside a larger family account.

Memory as a multi-generational project

The most moving Togthr for Family stories we hear are from adult children who lose a parent, and then find a Togthr space with a year of "still here" dots, dozens of voice memos, and a few time capsules that are still sealed. The grief does not get smaller, but the record of presence is suddenly something to hold. Togthr for Family is built to be that record, slowly, without making a big deal of it. It is not a memorial. It is a daily habit, that — if the worst happens — turns out to have been a gift.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Togthr for Family a private space, or does everyone see everything?

You choose. The default family space is private to the people you invite, and you can have multiple sub-spaces (for example, "parents only" and "siblings only"). Nothing is public, nothing is shared with other Togthr users, and you can add or remove people at any time.

Can my elderly parent use this without a smartphone?

Togthr for Family works on any modern browser, including on a shared family tablet. The interface is intentionally simple — one big button, one small text field. We have users in their 80s who use it daily. If your parent cannot use any device, the rest of the family can still add voice memos and photos on their behalf.

What happens to the family space if a parent passes away?

The space stays. The pet stays. The time capsules stay. The adult children can continue to add to the journal as a private memorial space, or they can close it. There is no automatic deletion, and no data is ever sold or used for advertising. Account deletion is always your call.

How is this different from a family group chat on WhatsApp?

A group chat is fast, noisy, and disappears into the scroll. Togthr for Family is slow, quiet, and persistent. It is for the things you would not put in a group chat — the "did you eat" texts, the lunch photos, the voice notes you only send to one sibling. The group chat is for the group. Togthr is for the relationship.
